Virdi 3000/4000 and Virdi AC 1000RF/SC devices
Well known Virdi devices are used for employees and visitor attendance control and for access control to the relevant premises as well. Virdi series 3000 and 4000 use technology of fingerprint recognition, RF card or Smart Card (SC) and passwords, while Virdi AC 1000 use RF or SC cards and passwords. Fingerprint recognition is highly reliable biometric method, since it uses fingerprint as a unique feature of a person, which excludes the possibility of manipulation. The accuracy of recognition can be adjusted to several levels according to user’s requests on safety. RF or SC card enables user identification by bringing the card closer to the reader, which benefits in quick recognition and card durability. Within database serial number is connected with user name which unable registration of two individuals with the same card. If the card is lost, its serial number is erased from the evidence.
Access control systems are designed for great number of users and quick identification. Individual device capacity is between 6.000 and 30.000 users according to the model. By using four function keys, devices can note all information referring to employee’s presence, such as arrival and departure, official or unofficial departure, lunch brake, etc. On the occasion of registration the device gives voice instructions, and sound signal and a message on the display provides information on registration results. Access control i.e. opening the lock is performed through door lock relay in case of successful verification. Besides, the devices from series 3000 and 4000 support voice communication through door phone.
All devices can work independently within stand-alone mode or connected with computer and network via Ethernet, RS-232C, Wiegand and RS-485 port. Networking several devices is used by greater enterprises and institutions where there is a need to install several devices on various locations and establish central user database. There is also a possibility to connect remote business units with central system. In this case current user network for communication is used.
